The Church of the Nazarene is a global network of churches organized in 1908.

Today, there are over 30,000 local Nazarene churches in more than 150 countries, with 2.6 million members.  The common thread throughout these churches is our shared beliefs, which we call the Articles of Faith.

Here is a summary of those beliefs:

We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, who being one with the Father, became like us to bring about our salvation.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that it contains all truth necessary for faith and Christian living.

We believe man is born with a fallen nature, and we need God’s forgiveness for our sin.

We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead; and by believing in Him, anyone can be forgiven and restored to a right relationship with God.

We believe when we are forgiven, our record of sin is wiped clean and we are spiritually born again, becoming a child of God.

We believe God calls us to be fully surrendered to Him as Lord and Leader of our life; and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live victorious lives of freedom with pure hearts.

We believe the Holy Spirit living in and through us is evidence of our new standing as a child of God, and to our fully surrendered life in Him.

We believe those who have placed their faith in Jesus will have an eternal heavenly home with Him, and that those who reject Him will be hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe Jesus will return, the dead will rise, and the final judgment will take place.
